An explanation of a holdfast that makes me smile :)

This particular holdfast, dried and graceful, was sunning itself on the rocks at a local beach the day I discovered it. I'm taken by its beauty. Humbled by its strength. There's such symbolism here. Perhaps you know just the person to give it to, so it may 'hold them fast in all but the most turbulent conditions' :)
